The New Jersey Conservation Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is currently seeking a full-time Development & Events Coordinator to join our team. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with an office location in Far Hills, New Jersey. This role will primarily focus on the planning and execution of events, donor cultivation, and the development of communication strategies to support our fundraising goals.
Responsibilities associated with this role include:
Planning, managing, and executing donor cultivation, fundraising, and community events.
Coordinating all event logistics, including budget, venue, vendors, permits, volunteers, and invitations.
Collaborating with the development team to achieve event fundraising and sponsorship goals.
Attending and supporting events to ensure seamless execution and high-quality guest experiences.
Tracking event outcomes and managing follow-up communications.
To support the organization's fundraising efforts, this role will also involve:
Assisting with donor engagement strategies, including online appeals, direct mail, and donor outreach.
Supporting major donor tracking and helping to schedule donor visits and calls.
Generating reports and queries using DonorPerfect to support targeted fundraising efforts.
Helping to produce donor lists for newsletters and annual reports.
Drafting, proofreading, and producing thank-you letters, acknowledgments, and other fundraising communications.
Additionally, this role will support the Engagement & Communications team by:
Helping to create content for direct mail, email appeals, brochures, invitations, and donor updates.
Collaborating with the Engagement & Communications team to grow the member base and support donor communications.
The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 to $62,000. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, Life, AD&D, and LTD insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal time, and a generous company-sponsored 401k matching contribution after one-year of service.

We are looking for candidates with strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills, along with a strong attention to detail. Ideal candidates will have experience with donor databases, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator. Familiarity with online fundraising and social media platforms, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, is essential. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in fundraising, event planning, communications, or nonprofit development are required.
