The Director of Marketing & Events will be the strategic leader and manager responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and event strategy for the association. This senior role will lead a team of marketing and event professionals to increase brand awareness and drive engagement with members and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing and Event Strategy & Brand Management

• Develop and lead integrated marketing strategies that increase the association’s visibility, impact and mission.
• Ensure brand consistency across all channels, including digital, print, media and partner communications.
• Manage compelling content for member campaigns, stakeholder communication and social media.
• Analyze marketing and event performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize reach and engagement.
• Oversee the planning and execution of all association events, ensuring they meet organizational goals.
• Manage budgets and contracts for marketing and events that meet the association's financial goals.

Team Leadership & Cross Functional Collaboration

• Supervise and mentor a high-performing team of marketing and event professionals, fostering a collaborative team environment
• Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, vendors and members to increase the footprint of the association.
• Monitor developments on the latest policy, advocacy and regulatory issues affecting mission of the association.

• Travel to Annual Conference (March/April)
• Travel to Staff Retreat (late fall)

Skills Preferred

• Strong knowledge of current digital marketing trends, social media, content marketing and integrated communications.
• Experience in event planning, logistics, vendor negotiation and managing the entire event lifecycle.
• Meticulous planning and organizational abilities to handle complex campaigns and multiple events simultaneously.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills for creating content and presenting to various audiences.
• Superior project and time management skills to ensure timely and successful delivery of initiatives.
• Familiarity with event registration platforms, CRM systems and other relevant marketing and event technology.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in marketing and/or event management supervisory roles.

Location Detail

This is a work-from-home position. Staff members are required to have a dedicated home office and child care. NCA will provide staff a phone, computer, external monitor, webcam, and office supplies.
