This position will allocate approximately 65% of efforts on member growth and 35% on process strategy delegation, and reports to the Component Relations Director.
Responsibilities:
Coach and advise chapter leaders on prospect conversion tactics, lead follow-up, and closing strategies adaptable to local chapters.
Navigate complex chapter dynamics with diplomacy, building/facilitating consensus and recommending approaches that align actions with international strategy.
Advocate/champion the value of a unified international identity while respecting and reinforcing chapter autonomy in how that identity is expressed within Shriners’ value system of fun and fellowship, family engagement and acts of service.
Design adaptable recruitment campaign models for multi-region use aimed at attracting qualified, mission-aligned members - men of character and compassion.
Guide and equip chapters with tools to implement chapter-led/tailor-made recruitment strategies within their communities and jurisdictions.
Collaborate with chapters to set recruitment targets, offering insight that contributes to the goal of double-digit percentage growth in new members annually.
Recommend grassroots recruitment strategy for chapter prospecting to include community partnerships, outreach to affiliate and appendant bodies, and use of digital engagement tactics.
Identify and share effective and scalable next practices to help chapters build operational and leadership capacity.
Represent Shriners International in a manner which elevates visibility and models characteristics of character and compassion.
Guide region-specific presentation materials and messaging communicating the value of Shriners International’s mission to external, affiliate, and appendant bodies.
Act as a liaison to support fraternal alignment with Shriners International.
Contribute to and support the Office of Membership Development at all Shriners International signature conferences as a representative and resource for chapter engagement.
Minimum:
5 or more years of success in high-volume sales, grassroots mobilization, or membership development experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; public speaking and negotiation expertise
Proficiency in CRM systems, and familiarity with marketing automation tools, and campaign analytics.
Demonstrated success in fast-paced, results-driven environments with high visibility and accountability.
Ability to travel domestically, estimated between 30-40%, including weekends.
Bachelor's degree in business or non-profit, political science, organizational development, or related field.
Preferred:
Certified Association Executive (CAE), or similar

Shriners International (SI) is undergoing historic change as one of the country's oldest and most influential fraternities by embracing a membership first mentality. Now, as a membership organization with a philanthropy, Shriners International has expanded its core purpose of Fun & Fellowship to include Family Engagement and Acts of Service. In our new, more accurate and expansively defined state as a fraternal membership organization, the top three focal points of SI membership efforts are recruitment, retention, and reinstatement.
