About Us: We’re the Community Associations Institute (CAI)—the leading international trade association for the community association industry. The Opportunity: We’re seeking an Events Coordinator to support the planning and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events that serve our 50,000+ members. You'll play a key role in making our national conferences, seminars, and specialty events successful, memorable, and smooth from start to finish.
What You’ll Do:
Coordinate logistics for flagship events like our Annual Conference, Law Seminar, and CEO-MC Retreat
Manage hotel rooming lists, attendee/exhibitor registration updates, and on-site support
Collaborate with marketing, education, and sales teams to support communications, websites, and sponsor fulfillment
Build relationships with presenters, committee members, and vendors
Support our virtual event experience using platforms like Zoom
Travel 2–4 times a year to support on-site events
What You Bring:
1–2 years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, or a related role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
Experience with Microsoft Office and Zoom; bonus if you’ve worked with websites or registration platforms
A customer-first attitude, a growth mindset, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and make magic happen
Bonus Points If You:
Have or are pursuing a degree in event planning, hospitality, or communications
Have experience supporting continuing legal education (MCLE) or working with professional associations
