The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) is seeking a Senior Program Manager of Strategic Growth and Market Development.

The Senior Program Manager will play a key role in executing and advancing NEMA’s comprehensive, multi-faceted non-dues revenue strategy. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong project management and organizational skills, capable of working collaboratively across the NEMA organization and member companies. This role is ideal for a candidate with a proven track record in developing and implementing revenue-generating programs, including intellectual property sales, learning programs, and certifications. This position reports to the Vice President, Strategic Growth and Market Development, and is based in Arlington, VA, with consideration for hybrid or remote work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of innovative revenue streams, including intellectual property licensing, learning programs, and certification programs, ensuring alignment with market needs and industry trends.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for new products, services, and business models.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and member companies to drive strategic growth initiatives.
Support the development of global partnerships to expand NEMA’s international presence and enhance its global footprint.
Support the execution of NEMA’s strategic marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and revenue generation.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in trade associations, business development, or strategic revenue growth, with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain a diverse non-dues revenue portfolio.
8+ years of relevant experience in business development, program management, or revenue strategy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring continuous progress.
Strategic and analytical mindset, with a data-driven approach to revenue development.
Proactive problem-solving skills with a self-starter mentality.
Hands-on approach – ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
Collaborative team player, capable of working across departments to align with organizational goals.
