The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) is the premier international membership association for physicians, researchers, and medical professionals, who are dedicated to conquering lung and thoracic cancers worldwide. The IASLC currently has an immediate opening for a mission-oriented Medcal Guidelines Manager will work collaboratively with global scientists and healthcare professionals to advance the development and implementation of global clinical practice standards/guidelines related to the prevention, detection, and treatment of thoracic malignancies.
The Guidelines Manager is responsible for facilitating the development and management of IASLC’s clinical practice guidelines and standards program in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs). This is a new focus area for the IASLC and a great opportunity for an experienced Guidelines Manager to build a program from the ground up.
The Guidelines Manager serves as the staff liaison to the member-led Global Multidisciplinary Practice Standards Committee (GMPSC) and provides day-to-day project management and administration to support the development of evidence-based global practice standards for the diagnosis, treatment and supportive care management of lung and thoracic cancers.
This full-time, exempt position reports to the Chief Science Officer. Hybrid work schedule at Denver office preferred but may consider remote work for the right candidate.
In this role, you will:
• Work closely with the GMPSC to plan, develop and disseminate evidence-based global practice guidelines for lung and thoracic cancers and support the development of appropriate criteria, processes, and strategies to efficiently manage the committee’s work. • Collaborate with medical professionals, IASLC leadership, and internal and external stakeholders to support the process for developing comprehensive, global, multidisciplinary practice standards and guidelines. • Provide effective project management and administrative support to the GMPSC, including but not limited to maintaining detailed documentation and managing meeting schedules, agendas, and project timelines to ensure that deliverables and timelines are achieved. • Provide clear, proactive communication and timely responses to IASLC members and stakeholders. • Manage contractors as needed, including guideline methodologists, to help ensure the successful completion and implementation of high-quality clinical practice guidelines. • Collaborate with IASLC committee members to develop project plans that outline the scope of new projects, timelines, appropriate literature search strategies, and inclusion/exclusion criteria. • Assist in the writing, editing and review of systematic reviews, clinical practice standards/guidelines, manuscripts, and summary reports for the Board of Directors.
A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
• A deep commitment to the mission of the IASLC and compassion for those living with a lung cancer diagnosis. • Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree in related scientific or health-related field strongly preferred. • 3-5 years of experience in the development of evidence-based medical guidelines and systematic reviews. • Strong project management experience in a similar guidelines-based role in a medical association or society or clinical environment • Proficiency in using business technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, project management systems, virtual conferencing, with the ability to learn and adopt new software as needed. • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills with ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary committee members around the world. • Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to efficiently manage multiple simultaneous assignments. • Ability to travel domestically or internationally, as needed, in support of committee activities • Multicultural sensitivity. Multilingual fluency/literacy would be a plus.

Remote work will also be considered for this position. • Compensation: $75,000-85,000 annually, depending on related skills and experience.
