POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Education Project Manager
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Education & Training
SUMMARY: This role is responsible for managing AGA’s corporate sponsored education programs. These programs are predominantly produced in conjunction with external Medical Education Companies (MECs). Educational programs are largely online enduring modules but may also include podcasts, in-person satellite symposia, or other modalities. Success in the role requires a candidate with excellent organization and communication skills and experience working with project management software or tools.
Specific responsibilities include:
Reviewing educational proposals
Receiving program handoff from corporate relations (CR) colleagues
Utilizing project management tools to organize new programs at the outset
Communicating with MEC partners to establish roles and responsibilities and continued timely communication as a program progresses
Supporting program development by communicating with clinician faculty as needed
Delivering on time contributions to the programs
Documenting program progress in project management software
Alerting relevant parties to any potential delay or disruption
Following established internal processes for tasks such as disclosure collection, accreditation rules, and honoraria payments
At the conclusion of a program, preparing the program for financial reconciliation and providing necessary data to AGA’s outcomes team and/or MEC partner for grant close out
Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders during program ideation, execution, and close out
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years’ experience in medical/science education tailored for professionals.
A strong knowledge base of adult learning trends, educational modalities.
Knowledge of the proposal process is a plus.
Ability to travel 3 to 4 times a year.
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must have a basic understanding of project management principles and experience using PM software tools.
