Summary
At the direction of the EVP, Affiliate & Volunteer Relations, the Director of Affiliate Relations will support and enhance the symbiotic relationship between the ICBA and its affiliated state associations across the nation. The Director, in coordination with the Senior Vice President (SVP) of State Relations, will liaise with internal staff, volunteer community bank leaders and state association executives and staff to identify new opportunities and modify current programs to strengthen the bond between ICBA and our network of affiliated state associations through enhanced communication and collaboration resulting in a closer relationship to collectively support the ICBA mission: to create and promote an environment where community banks flourish.
Responsibilities
Develop new programs, resources, and strategies to strengthen relations between ICBA and affiliated state associations.
Identify new revenue opportunities for ICBA affiliated state associations to the benefit of their associations and mutual member banks.
Work in coordination with SVP of State Relations to organize ICBA’s participation in state association annual conventions, including preparation of schedule, coordination of officer feedback, and provision of ICBA officer briefing materials.
Interact with participating state associations, ICBA Services Network and accounting staff, in organizing and implementing annual revenue sharing programs and agreements, including speaking and other commitments related to those contracts and other sponsorship/endorsement matters at the state level.
Work with ICBA Services Network staff to develop new endorsements of service(s). Facilitate communication between ICBA Services Network staff and state association staff to ensure thorough consideration of programs and positive outcomes.
Work with ICBA member relations officers by sharing information relative to the activities of the affiliated state associations in their respective territories.
Serve as a staff resource and liaison on state association matters when working with ICBA officers and staff.
Work in coordination with the SVP of State Relations to create and manage schedule to send ICBA staff and leadership bankers out for speaking engagements and/or official visits to affiliated state associations.
Respond in a timely manner to individual inquiries and requests from affiliated state associations.
Oversee quality control of all affiliated state association websites and marketing materials to ensure accuracy.
Proactively reach out to affiliated state association to identify opportunities and address challenges and issues in a timely manner.
Regularly review of affiliated state association primary, staff, and leadership banker contacts for accuracy.
Collect and analyze affiliated state association membership trends and financial information that appears on the association’s Form 990.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or nonprofit management and 5-7 years of professional experience at a trade association or similar field.
Experience in non-dues revenue generation for a trade association is preferred.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Detail Oriented.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Excel and other financial software.
Highly confident, motivated, and professionally driven.
Demonstrates ability to manage up and lead others.
Ability to travel 20 percent of the time.
Compensation and Benefits
The target annual salary range for this role is currently $95,000 to $125,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package (medical, dental and vision), 401k plan company match contribution, and an annual performance bonus.
