We are seeking a detail-oriented Database Administrator to manage and maintain our iMIS database. This role focuses on optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and supporting organizational goals through system enhancements and analytics. The membership database is a critical tool for serving our members effectively, enabling us to deliver the resources and support they need. Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, the Database Administrator will work closely with stakeholders to streamline processes, resolve technical issues, and implement new database features.
Duties and Responsibilities
Database Administration
Act as the primary point of contact and project manager for all iMIS-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and vendor coordination.
Manage and oversee integrations between the iMIS database and third-party applications to ensure seamless functionality.
Identify and resolve account inconsistencies to maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with stakeholders and departments to identify business needs and ensure the database supports strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain custom reports and data analytics tools to align with organizational goals.
Design and implement new database features and functionalities based on organizational requirements.
Input new contacts into the database manually or through third-party integration tools.
Create and maintain documentation for database training, processes, and troubleshooting guides to ensure effective usage.
Membership Database Management
Perform routine audits of the database to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of member and prospect records.
Collaborate with staff to optimize and streamline the membership billing and renewal process.
Automate workflows for renewals, billing, and communication processes to improve efficiency.
Track and manage open invoices in partnership with staff to ensure timely payments and proper account closure.
Partner with the communications department to create email templates and other iMIS-driven communications.
Generate detailed member-based reports using Intelligent Query Architect tools to support data-driven decision-making.
Support the events team with webinar and event registration processes, including attendee data management and reporting.
Review and approve new member accounts created on the website to ensure accurate system entry.
Assist end-users in troubleshooting and resolving account-related issues, including those related to the CECU website.
Make updates to the CECU website using iMIS’s RiSE website content management system.
Qualifications:
Required:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3-5 years of experience in database administration or a similar role.
Proficiency in database management tools and database architecture.
Familiarity with APIs, integration tools, and data synchronization techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred:
Experience with cloud-based iMIS systems.
Familiarity with reporting tools and data analytics platforms.
Knowledge of the RiSE website content management system.
Project management experience is strongly preferred.
